Dee’s mother Jennifer Shaffer mourned the family’s loss on Facebook Wednesday morning, writing, “I'm so heartbroken” and “I was waiting on you to say it was a prank but its not.”

Fellow creator @finessekidmike, rumored to be her former boyfriend, wrote “Her pain is over, mine has just begun” on Instagram.

None of the posts say how Dee died.

In the comments of Dee’s final social media posts, followers are remembering her for being an entertaining and joyful presence.

“Rest In Peace gorgeous, this makes me so sad to hear that this happened,” one commenter wrote on YouTube. “You were definitely my favorite YouTuber, tiktoker.”

“RIP sweet beautiful girl,” another wrote on TikTok. “Thank you for sharing your life with us. I wish it was easier for you. My condolences to your loved ones.”
